16 Celebs With Majorly Inspiring Post-Baby Body Confidence
Mamas, take a cue from these smart ladies.
Anna Chlumsky
The Veep actress, who's featured in People's Most Beautiful issue, recently told the magazine that it took her 8 months to feel good about her body again after having her second child. "I have to say, you're getting me at a really good time," Chlumsky said during her no-makeup shoot. "I'm just getting to a place where I kind of recognize myself again, and exercise has made me feel physically good about myself — not just image-wise, but it makes me feel stronger. I feel certainly less insecure than I probably did three months postpartum."
Alyssa Milano
"Once you have kids, you realize what the human body is made to do. You realize why sometimes women's bodies retain fat, and usually that's biologically to create breast milk. You realize all the changes your body goes through hormonally [...] It's really an awakening — when you get pregnant and have a child — that the female body is the most amazing machine imaginable." "It's like, by the way, don't you want to look like you've had a baby? I'm sitting here with you, I'm crunched over, I have a huge muffin top — who cares?!" (Via E! Online)
Halle Berry
"When you're nursing you can't really diet because you have to keep producing milk... Listen, I'm healthy and I'm happy, and that's all that matters." (Via People)
Jennifer Lopez
"I remember right after the twins were born having that weird jiggly belly – and kind of loving that, too. Because I earned that jiggly belly." (Via The Telegraph)
Jenna Fischer
"Who cares if our boobs are hanging low and we have a little more junk in the trunk? We created a human being, everybody. Let's celebrate!" (Via Celebuzz)
Kate Winslet
"We have one life. I don't want to spend my time thinking about the size of my arse. I want to be as healthy as I can be, and I want to have as much fun as I can have. I want to be around for my children. That's it. Those are the priorities. Not getting a flat stomach." (Via Time Out London)
Jessica Alba
"Becoming a mom has definitely made me feel more confident and secure than I ever did in my 20s. Even though I can't ever get down to my pre-baby weight before having Honor, my jeans don't zip up the same way, and things just hang differently (all moms know how that goes!), I feel completely comfortable in my skin and my idea of perfection has changed." Isla Fisher
[On her favorite body part] "My stomach. Even though it will never be flat again, it's still my favorite because it reminds me of my greatest achievement: my babies." (Via Fitness)

"I wasn't in a race [to lose the baby-weight]. I was really kind to myself because I was actually really impressed with the fact that I had just had a baby, like 'I made a human!'" (Via People)
Tamera Mowry-Housley
[On her first public appearance after giving birth] "I wanted to show off my new boobies and flaunt my post-pregnancy body – I'm still getting used to all these new curves, but that doesn't mean I need to hide my figure. I'm proud of my body!" (Via Tia & Tamera)
Rachel Weisz
"I feel sexier after having a baby. I think you feel a lot more confident and much more appreciative of your body and what it's capable of doing. I've got a lot more respect for it." (Via People)
Salma Hayek
"I gained so much weight, I got an opportunity to see myself completely disfigured in many different ways — for a very good reason — and I don't regret it for a second. That's when I started appreciating my body. The things that I used to criticize, they were not that bad after all." (Via Glam Belleza Latina)
Liv Tyler
"I've been a model and actress since I was 14, so I've been on a diet my whole life. But once I gave birth, I didn't want to think about myself or feel insecure about my career; I wanted to think about my child. So I stopped worrying about diets." (Via Glamour)
Mariska Hargitay
"I love my curves because they scream, 'I'm a mama!' I'm the girl who started wearing maternity pants about an hour after I found out I was pregnant because I was so excited about becoming a mom. I'm just grateful that my body is healthy. I want to be on this planet for a long time, so I try to eat things that make me feel good and make me strong. But I also love food and I love life: Some days having that extra bowl of pasta and a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup means more to me than being thin." (Via Ladies Home Journal)
Jennifer Love Hewitt
"I really thought I was going to be super consumed with trying to get my body back to the way it was before, and now that I'm a mom, I'm like I don't want to be that girl again because that girl didn't have a baby and didn't have a great husband and didn't have this blissful existence that I'm having now."
